ISC-Muses9-SnS: multispectral / hyperspectral snapshot camera in the VNIR (Vis-NIR: 370-1000 nm).

Muses9-SnS is the world’s first 4K, video rate snapshot hyperspectral imager and real time spectral mapper. The only hyperspectral camera acquiring hypercube image packs at video rate and displaying both spectral images and classification maps side-by side and in real-time.

Typical snapshot multispectral or hyperspectral imagers employ filter lens arrays on the image sensor, thus dividing accordingly its effective area into several portions dedicated to specific spectral bands, in the rage of 400 x 400 px each. The more spectral bands (spectral resolution) the less effective pixels in the sensor for each band (spatial resolution). This way, there was always trade-off between spectral and spatial resolution in hyperspectral snapshot systems.
In addition, the filter array limits the possible angle of incidence of light on the lens and the light throughput to the sensor.
Not anymore with the ISC-Muses9-SnS…

Advantages of the ISC-Muses9-SnS snapshot hyperspectral camera:
- our technology combines the real-time acquisition of 4K level spectral images, with an AI-based spectral estimation technique to compose a full hypercube. This all at high spatial resolution (6,4 MP) combined with high spectral resolution (10/22 bands), without compromising spectral or spatial resolution.
- real-time supervised and unsupervised spectral mapping: commercial snapshot spectral imagers analyze hypercube data post-capture, delaying results. MUSES9-DR uniquely delivers real-time acquisition, visualization, and analysis of the hypercube (not just the raw cube data). This is critical in machine (artificial) vision, sorting and industrial inspection applications.

- full use of the spectral range of the CMOS (Si) or InGaAs sensor in UVA - VIS - NIR – SWIR (unlike certain snapshot, Fabry-Perot filter, or push-broom technologies)
- use of lenses with C thread (C-mount) so as not to compromise neither the field of view nor the focusing distance (unlike most technologies)
- polarization independent, allowing a high light throughput of the spectral dispersion optics above 90%.
- powerful camera control and spectral image and hypercube processing software at no extra cost
- optional spectral maps: represent with a color (fake, not real) all pixels of the same spectral class (similar spectral characteristics).
- available in handheld version, portable
