On certain occasions, as few as possible, it is necessary for an operator to be in the operating area of a high power laser, e.g. laser cleaning or laser welding. In these applications we are talking about lasers of hundreds of watts or even kilowatts (KW).

In such cases, the use of laser safety goggles may not be sufficient and if we are talking about KW it will be necessary to wear a laser safety helmet. But also the rest of the body and not only the face and eyes must be protected.
