We propose 3 types of optical tunable bandpass filters that feature the independent control of both center wavelength and bandwidth by rotating the knobs on the device. They can be used with any collimated light source (Supercontinuum laser & broadband lamp) to produce a continuously tunable light source for spectroscopy and spectral imaging applications:
- Basic models provide manual control of wavelength and bandwidth via knurled knobs.
- CenterLine models provide manual control of wavelength with a factory pre-set bandwidth (10 or 20 nm FWHM).
- High Resolution models provide manual control of wavelength and bandwidth using multi-rotation precision dials.
* Manual models require a spectrometer for operation
The Flexible Wavelength Selector LSL-FWS-M-Basic is a manually tunable filter that features three knurled knobs – two for adjusting the center wavelength and the transmission bandwidth and one for compensating the beam direction offset.
Key advantages of the manual tunable filter LSL-FWS-M-Basic:
- Broad wavelength tuning
- Smooth and easy bandwidth adjustment (FWHM 2 - 15 nm, nominal). Separate knows enable independent manual settings of both the center wavelength and the transmission bandwidth (Gear 1:1)
- Circular aperture: 5 mm or 10 mm
- A5: 5 mm, suitable for lasers, supercontinuum lasers
- A10: 10 mm, suitable for light sources with large beam size (tungsten-halogen, plasma, LED)
- Compact optomechanical device (48 x 92 x 64 mm)
- Simple integration into microscopes, telescopes, cameras, light sources and other photonic instruments with our accessories
- High out of band blocking (OD 5) avoids unwanted spectral leakage and associated background noise typical of liquid crystal-based filtering systems
* For the optimal performance of the FWS, the incident light should be collimated.
* UV models F00-F02 can block up to 600 nm.
* Manual models require a spectrometer for operation
