Handheld probes for laser power measurement (not energy)

Sophisticated laser power sensors for more precise or continuous measurements (with meter or connected by USB/RS) may not be suitable for maintenance technicians, commissioners, or for those who only need to check the power from time to time. Or for those looking for low cost.
Unlike them, the MLP-Fit and MLP-Cronos series handheld probes have electronics and display in a single device along with the sensor head, making the design very economical and manageable.

 

Fit and Cronos handheld laser power meters are ideal for
- operators who do not need to make continuous measurements over time, e.g. maintenance technicians
- those who do not need extremely high repeatability and accuracy
- those who simply have budget problems or are looking for low cost.

 

Optical power measurements are fully automated in the MLP-Fit and MLP-Cronos series: switch on and measure, all at the touch of a button.
When the device needs cooling, it will automatically stop operating without risk, although a large number of measurements can be made before this happens. As this inexpensive device is only cooled by dissipation, it must nevertheless be removed from the laser beam after the measurements to avoid damage.

The display shows the calibration wavelength (CO2, Nd-YAG), the measured power and an indicator when the battery is low (over 5000 measurements with two standard batteries). In addition, the temperature of the absorber will also be displayed, indicating to the operator that he can continue measuring. The last measurement will appear for 5 minutes on the display (before switching off).

The design is lightweight for user handling and safe against reflections.
