OPTA's high-quality, matte anti-reflective breadboards are characterized by outstanding quality and functionality. Our optical plates (33 and 50 mm thick) feature excellent inherent damping and exhibit exceptional rigidity, combined with very good flatness (+/- 0.1 mm/600 mm) and low weight.

The robust construction of our discs, featuring a uniform selection of material across all surfaces, not only results in greater rigidity but also provides the required high level of thermal stability. The 50-series plates, in particular, exhibit high inherent damping thanks to the OPTA precision steel core (magnetic or antimagnetic), which counteracts external influences in the vicinity of the optical plate (acoustic, seismic, and direct).
Our floating M6 threaded inserts are particularly user-friendly; they are housed in sealed polycarbonate sleeves and are not connected to the core. A clean solution for sensitive environments.
Since our threads (M6/25 mm pitch—larger pitches available upon request) are not cut into the cover plate, our customers can adjust the clamping screws by 0.5 mm—while maintaining a tilt of ±3°—during component handling.

- MAG: magnetic stainless steel 1.4016 (completely magnetic)
- ANTIMAG: antimagnetic stainless steel 1.4301 (residually magnetic)
- ALU: Aluminum (completely antimagnetic)
Material recommendation: we recommend aluminum breadboard when a complete non-magnetic surface is needed. A cheaper solution for non-magnetic applications could be the –ANTIMAG if you do not need a strictly non-magnetic breadboard.
The weight indicated in the description of each optical breadboard corresponds to the –MAG and –ANTIMAG version. –ALU version will be lighter than –MAG/-ANTIMAG.
An additional advantage of PCL's optical tables, breadboards, and supports is that their price is tailored to your needs. They are not low-cost solutions, but we can certainly call them economical optical tables given their value for money.
