Extreme probes for measuring very high laser power, up to 40 KW

For measuring very high-power lasers, we can offer you economical probes of up to 40 kW.
MLP-EXTREME probes for measuring very high-power lasers are available in models of up to 10 kW, 20 kW, and 40 kW.
They are economical, portable, and easy to use, especially because they do not require water cooling. Their design allows convection to dissipate heat. This makes them very versatile and affordable solutions, although they are not "low-cost" products in terms of quality and durability.

 

The laser power sensor head of these MLP-EXTREME meters is available in three connection formats:
- for connection to the MLP-Plus-2 meter
- with direct connection to controller/PC via USB
- with direct connection to controller/PC via RS-232.

 

They are the ideal solution for laboratories and production lines, as well as for maintenance technicians or simply when a low-cost laser power meter is needed.

 

They are laser high power probes rather than laser sensors or meters in the strict sense because the measurement is not performed on the continuous wave (CW) laser. For the measurement, a pulse of hundreds of milliseconds must be set to avoid damage. The specific duration of the pulse will depend on the model and the power range to be measured. You can consult the specifications table for MLP-EXTREME sensors for measuring very high laser power.

(1) Laser pulse duration must be controlled with high precision: shorter or longer duration will directly affect measurement uncertainty. Recommended Laser rise time < 200 μs.
